Donate Toys and Gifts to New Mexico Foster Children
This holiday season in New Mexico, there are over 2,600 children, ranging in age from 0 to 18, who are in foster care and will spend the holidays away from home.
The New Mexico Children, Youth and Families Department (CYFD) is pulling together with New Mexicans to make the holidays just a bit more special for foster children and local families that may need a little help.
From now through December 19, we encourage you to drop off new, unused toys and gifts at CYFD and MVD field offices across the state.
Some ideas for toys and gifts, which will be distributed to children and teenagers currently in state foster care, include:
*All gifts must be new, unwrapped and non-violent
- Ages 0-6 - Children's Books - Building Blocks - Dolls - Musical Toys - Play Dough Sets - Large Piece Puzzles
